Valentine's Partner Workshop

Celebrate Valentine's Day in a unique way - learn to balance, support and handstand on each other! This is a great opportunity to try something new with your partner/ boyfriend/ husband/ best friend! SQPS Classes

Beginner

The basics, you’ll learn simple weight bearing moves and combinations and an easy routine to show off to your friends in Week 8. There are no prerequisites for enrolling in a Beginners Course - You may have never even seen a pole before!

Intermediate Introduction

This level represents the start of inverted pole moves as well as pole climbs and experimenting with different hand grips. In order to enroll in Intermediate Introduction, you must have completed a Beginners pole course (at any school or studio - not necessarily ours!)

Intermediate 1

Things are starting to get a bit trickier now! This level focuses on inversions - so you'll be spending a lot of time upside down! You must be confident with pole sits, climbs and basic inverts before enrolling in this level.

Intermediate 2

Prepare yourself for the odd bruise as you learn to hang on to the pole with just one leg! You must be able to perform an "Upside-down V" - held horizontally for ten seconds - in order to enroll in this level.

Intermediate 3

The really acrobatic stuff! By now you are able to impress your friends on trains, children's play equipment and street signs. You must be confident with both inner and outer leg hangs before enrolling in Int 3.

Advanced Introduction

Our "Pre-Advanced" course. Core moves for this level include handsprings, shoulder mounts and aerial inverts. You must be able to execute a butterfly, a shoulder mount and an aerial invert in order to enroll in this level.

Advanced/Adv Intro

For Term 1, 2012, this is a mixed level class - Advanced and Advanced Intro. Extreme pole dance - "Advanced" implies teacher or competitive level pole. Elements of Chinese Pole and acrobatics with a focus on generating your own stage performances. Each class also contains intense Conditioning and flexibility sections. You must be able to execute an aerial shoulder mount, a basic balance (eg static V) and handspring correctly before enrolling here.

Introduction to Aerials

A basic introduction to three aerial apparatus: Lira, trapeze and silks. A 1.5 hour class that will focus on core conditioning and the strength required for circus arts. All levels welcome.

Aerial Routines: Silks

Learn a full silks routine over this 8-week term. For those who have completed our "Intro to Aerials" course at least twice and feel ready to take it to the next level. Push your skills and stamina as you put together a complete aerial routine.

Aerial Routines: Lira

Intro to Pole

Our "pre-Beginners" course is for anyone wanting to try pole dancing who can't wait for the start of a new term! A mix of basic pole moves and pole conditioning (along with some heart-pumping Zumba tracks!) For those who want a basic introduction to pole in a supportive environment amongst women of all ages and fitness levels.

Private Lessons

All teachers at SQPS are available for private lessons. One-on-one lessons in pole, choreography, lap, strip or burlesque. Maximum of three students.

Conditioning

The Pole Dancer's Workout! A mix of Zumba tracks, core and upper body conditioning as well as some flexibility work - Not strong enough to really bust out those killer pole moves? Or just want to improve your general strength and fitness? Then Conditioning is for you!

Studio Time

Studio Time is open for your own practice and revision. There is a teacher there to help you master the moves you already know and revise your class routine - but not help you out with new tricks. $15 for students. $20 for non-students.

Stretch n' Flex

Get the splits! A gentle class focused on lengthening your muscles and improving your flexibility.

Lap/Strip

Get your sexy back! A mix of sexy routines incorporating elements of chair dancing, lap dancing and Burlesque. Taught by a professional showgirl.

Charlee and Stacey are fully qualified Personal Trainers - Book in for a session with them to get fitter, stronger and more flexible. Group discounts apply

Group PT

A mix of indoor and outdoor training, Zumba, weight training and pole conditioning - Be prepared to be pushed! Class size is extremely limited to allow for one-on-one training time within the class. Your progress is monitored. Not for the faint-hearted.
